David McWilliam
Based in Pokolbin, he’s a hands-on vigneron with a passion for Hunter Valley winemaking and a legacy of Australian winemakers in his blood. When he’s not among the vines producing exceptional Pokolbin wines, David’s happiest spending time with his family, catching a few waves at Blueys Beach, or riding the family horses.
Shane Martin
Shane is the man who keeps things ticking out at Mount Hill, a key player among Australian winemakers. With over 30 years of experience in viticulture, particularly in Hunter Valley winemaking, there’s not much Shane hasn’t seen—or done—when it comes to managing vineyards and producing exceptional Pokolbin wines. Shane plays a crucial role in ensuring that Mount Hill is moving in the right direction, making sure the vines get what they need, when they need it.
Andrew McWilliam
Andrew “Drew” McWilliam – 4th Generation
As a proud fourth-generation member of the original McWilliam family, Andrew—affectionately known as Drew—brings both heritage and hands-on dedication to Mount Hill Vineyard, one of the notable Australian winemakers in the region. A devoted Poppy and an expert in post replacement, there’s little Drew won’t roll up his sleeves to tackle around the vineyard, contributing to the exceptional quality of Pokolbin wines.
Beyond the vines, he’s a keen golfer and a true enthusiast of all things wine, always ready to sample and share in the craft of Hunter Valley winemaking that has defined his family for generations.
Amy McWilliam
Amy oversees operations and marketing at Mount Hill Vineyard, where she ensures that the business runs efficiently and with purpose, much like other renowned Australian winemakers. Her leadership and commitment to best practices were instrumental in achieving the vineyard’s sustainable certification, reflecting her strong passion for sustainability and excellence in Hunter Valley winemaking, especially in producing exceptional Pokolbin wines.
